Milton Amateur Radio Club Training Committee

Committee Members: (1) Hal Clark (WA5HC), (2) Barney Bailey (KQ4JRK), and

(3) Volunteers (Elmers) as Identified.

Approach:   The M.A.R.C. Training Committee will develop and use an agenda of topics relevant to the continued education of Novice and Advanced Amateur Radio Operators.

These topics will be incorporated into the club’s monthly meeting agenda and will be presented by committee members or volunteers.

Our program’s focus will be on, but not limited to, the following subjects:

–Safety & Radio Etiquette

— License Testing Preparation Help

–Basic Station Operating Techniques

— Equipment Selection

–Antennas

— The HF, UHF, and VHF Bands

— HF Digital Communications 

–VHF/UHF/FM Repeaters

— Portable and Mobile Operations

–Radio Clubs and Public Service

–On-Air activities and Radio-sport

— Additional Resources for Amateur operators

Constraints: Training presentations will be limited to 15 minutes, before the meeting’s start.

Other training requirements will be addressed as the needs of  Trainees dictate.

 Members who wish to make presentations are asked to coordinate with committee members approximately 1 week before the monthly meeting.
