Field Day 2024: A Triumph for Milton Amateur Radio Club
The Milton Amateur Radio Club (MARC) celebrated a successful Field Day event on June 22-23, 2024, with 48 enthusiastic participants, including 20 licensed hams and one General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) operator. The event featured significant achievements, such as successful licensing exams and innovative setups powered by battery and solar energy. Highlights included James (K9JHR) showcasing his mobile ham-shack and culinary skills, Doug (KE6MYV) bringing modern digital rigs, and Mike (N4MDW) combining relaxation with radio operations. The club’s hard work culminated in a preliminary score of 1,014 points, reflecting the dedication and community spirit of all members involved.
